Camera Roll Cleaner Support
How it works
Camera Roll Cleaner shows your photos and videos one at a time, biggest first, with the size of each. Swipe left (or tap Bin) to put an item in the bin, swipe right (or tap Keep) to keep it. Nothing is deleted while you swipe. When you are ready, open the bin, check what is in it, and tap Delete. Deleting needs Pro: the first time, the app shows the Pro plans. With Pro, iOS asks you to confirm.
I deleted items but my storage did not go down
iPhone keeps deleted items in Recently Deleted for 30 days, then removes them for good. You can simply wait. No app is allowed to empty Recently Deleted for you. To get the space back today:
These are the same steps the app shows after a delete.
iOS 26
- Open Photos and tap Collections.
- Scroll to Utilities, tap Recently Deleted and unlock it with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
- Tap Select, choose only the items you just deleted, then tap Delete. Not Delete All: that erases everything else there too, for good.
iOS 18
- Open Photos and scroll down to Utilities.
- Tap Recently Deleted and unlock it with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
- Tap Select, choose only the items you just deleted, then tap Delete. Not Delete All: that erases everything else there too, for good.
iOS 17
- Open Photos and tap Albums.
- Scroll down to Recently Deleted and unlock it with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
- Tap Select, choose only the items you just deleted, then tap Delete. Not Delete All: that erases everything else there too, for good.
Do not tap Delete All. It also erases everything else in Recently Deleted, including things you may have deleted by mistake in Photos or other apps, and that cannot be undone.
I deleted something by mistake
Changed your mind? In Photos › Recently Deleted, tap it, then Recover. You have 30 days. Recently Deleted is in the same place as in the steps above.
What does "stored only in iCloud" mean?
If you use iCloud Photos with Optimize iPhone Storage, some originals are stored only in iCloud, and the iPhone keeps a smaller copy. The app marks those with a cloud symbol, and the bin shows how much of its total is stored only in iCloud. After a delete, the app shows how much had a copy on this iPhone and how much was only in iCloud.
With iCloud Photos on, every item you delete is also removed from iCloud, so iCloud storage comes back for all of them, not only the ones marked with the cloud, once Recently Deleted is emptied (or after 30 days).
Why does a size say "≈"?
Sizes are read from the photo library on your iPhone. When iOS reports no size for an item, the app estimates it from the item's resolution and length and marks it with "≈".
The app only shows some of my photos
You may have given access to selected photos only. Tap "Add more" at the top of the swipe screen, or go to Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos › Roll Cleaner and choose Full Access.
Photo access is off
Open the iPhone Settings app, go to Privacy & Security › Photos › Roll Cleaner, and choose Full Access. Then come back to the app.
Pricing
- Swiping, the bin, every sort order and the GB counter are free forever, with no ads.
- Deleting needs Pro. There are no free deletes, and no weekly fee.
- Pro gives unlimited deletes, the whole bin at once: Pro Yearly with a 7-day free trial, Pro Monthly (no trial), or Pro Lifetime, a one-time purchase. Prices are shown in the app in your currency.
The first time you tap Delete in the bin, the app shows the Pro plans; you can also see them in the app's Settings › See Pro. Your bin stays as it is if you close them. After you start the trial or buy, the delete you asked for goes on, and iOS asks you to confirm.
If you start the free trial, the app offers to remind you 2 days before the trial ends. If you tap Remind me, iOS asks whether the app may send notifications. That is optional, and the reminder is removed if you cancel the trial, switch to Monthly or buy Lifetime.
Restore, manage or cancel Pro
To restore a purchase on a new iPhone, open the app's Settings and tap Restore purchase. To manage or cancel a subscription (yearly or monthly), open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, or tap Manage subscription in the app's Settings. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid renewal. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Privacy
No data is collected and your photos never leave your iPhone. Read the privacy policy.
