Sign PDF Privacy Policy
The short version
The app never uploads your documents or your signature. There is no account, no advertising and no tracking. The app sends one kind of thing over the internet: anonymous counts of steps in the app (for example "a document was opened" or "a document was signed"), with a random ID that is not tied to you, so we can see where people get stuck. Never the content of a document, a file name, your name, your details or any part of your signature. You can turn the counts off in the app: Profile › Privacy › Send anonymous usage counts.
Your documents
When you open a PDF (from Files, from another app's share sheet, or by scanning paper with the camera), the app makes a working copy on your iPhone and signs that. The original file is not changed. When you tap Done, the app writes a signed, flattened copy and hands it to the iOS share sheet; where it goes from there (Mail, Messages, WhatsApp, Files) is your choice and is handled by those apps.
The signed copies are kept on your iPhone in the app's storage so you can share them again from "Recently signed" (up to the last 30). You can delete any of them by touching and holding it. Unfinished documents (a scan, or a document you left before tapping Done) stay in the app until you sign or delete them; Profile › Privacy › Erase my signature and details removes them too. Other working copies are deleted the next time the app starts.
Password-protected PDFs: if a PDF asks for a password, the app uses what you type once, on the device, to open it. The password is not saved.
Your signature and details
Your signature and initials (as drawn strokes or typed text), and the details you choose to save for filling forms (name, email, phone, address, date format, pen colour), are stored on your iPhone only, in files protected by iOS so they cannot be read while the iPhone is locked. They are shared between the app and its "Sign PDF" share-sheet action through a container on the same iPhone. They are never sent anywhere. Profile › Erase my signature and details removes them.
Camera
If you choose Scan paper, iOS asks whether the app may use the camera. The camera is used only while you scan, to turn the page into a PDF on your iPhone. Nothing is recorded or uploaded.
Anonymous usage counts
So that we can see where people stop (for example, whether the first signature is drawn, or whether anyone reaches the price screen), the app sends a short record for a few steps. Each record has exactly these fields:

The records go to a database hosted by Supabase that the app can only add to, not read. Like any internet request, the server sees the connection's IP address; it is not stored in the records. We use the records only to improve the app, never to identify anyone, and never share or sell them. Supabase stores them for us under its data processing terms, with the same protection this policy gives them. They are kept for up to 24 months. To have the records from your install deleted, write to us through the contact form with the date you installed the app and your region (the setting, e.g. United States); we delete the matching records. Deleting the app also deletes its random ID, after which nothing links the records to your iPhone. In App Store terms this is "Usage Data: Product Interaction, used for analytics, not linked to you, not used for tracking". To stop the counts, turn off Profile › Privacy › Send anonymous usage counts.
Purchases
The first 3 signed documents are free. Pro is available as a yearly subscription with a free trial, a monthly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Purchases, trials, renewals and refunds are handled entirely by Apple. The app never sees your payment details; it only asks Apple whether this Apple Account has Pro. The count of free documents used is also kept in the iOS Keychain on this iPhone ("this device only"), so it survives deleting and reinstalling the app.
Contact form
The support page has a contact form. If you use it, the email address and message you type are sent through Formspree, which delivers the form to us. We use them only to answer you. To have a message deleted, ask through the same form.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
