Sign PDF Support

Sign a PDF from Mail or WhatsApp

  1. Tap the PDF attachment to open it.
  2. Tap the Share button, then Sign PDF in the list of actions. If it is not there, scroll to the end of the list, tap Edit Actions, and add Sign PDF.
  3. Tap the line to sign. Tap Done: the share sheet opens with the signed copy. Send it in WhatsApp, attach it in Mail, or save it to Files.

You can also tap Sign PDF in the row of apps at the top of the share sheet: the document opens in the app instead.

How placing works

As in Markup: every tool places one thing, then switches off.

Scanning paper

Tap Scan paper. The first time, the app explains why it needs the camera, then iOS asks. If you said no, turn it on in the iPhone Settings app › Apps › Sign PDF › Camera. Opening PDFs from Files and other apps works without the camera.

Change my signature

On the app's Home screen, tap Profile, then Signature or Initials, and draw again (or tap Type instead).

Pricing

Restore, manage or cancel Pro

To restore a purchase on a new iPhone, open the app, tap Profile, then Restore Purchases. To manage or cancel a subscription, open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, or tap Manage subscription in the app's Profile. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid renewal. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Is my signature legally binding?

Sign PDF puts your own signature on a document, as signing the paper by hand would. Whether a particular document can be signed this way depends on who asked you to sign it and on local law. The app is not a certified digital-signature service.

Privacy

The app never uploads your documents or signature. The app sends anonymous step counts (no content, names, file names or signatures), which you can turn off in Profile. Read the privacy policy.
