Backgammon Pip has no account system, no analytics and no advertising. It collects no personal data. This page is short because there is very little to describe.
Nothing. We do not ask for your name, your email address or any identifier. There is no sign-in of ours, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no crash reporter that carries personal data.
None of this is transmitted to us. Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is nothing on a server for us to delete on your behalf, and no account for you to close.
Games against a friend go through Apple's Game Center, which you choose to sign in to on your phone. In that case Apple carries the moves between the two phones and stores the match on its servers; we have no server of our own and never see the match. Apple's privacy policy applies to Game Center. The turn data itself is the list of moves and the two halves of the dice lock, nothing else.
Every roll comes from a key drawn before the first roll. Its fingerprint is shown before you play; the key is revealed when the game ends so anyone can check the rolls. In a game with a friend, each phone contributes half of the key, so neither side can steer the dice. The keys are random numbers and contain nothing about you.
Backgammon Pip is bought once, through Apple. There is nothing to buy inside the app. Apple handles the payment; we never see your payment details and receive no personal information from Apple.
The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Should we ever begin collecting data, we would say so here and in the app before doing it.
